NPCC ATC Camp or Mentoring@Underwater World

Hi guys,

Which one do you guys think I should choose?

These 2 activities clash with each other and each has its pros and cons

ATC camp pros:

Can get a badge

Complete ATC course

Have fun with squadmates

Learn outdoor skills

ATC camp cons:

Clash with mentoring

OC Unit not happy

Will lose important badge if did not go

Mentoring pros:

Share my knowledge with fellow students

Get to know more about Underwater World

Able to help my friends

Can impress my Biology teacher

I need this for my NYAA

Mentoring cons:

Clash with ATC

Embarassed as I organised this activity

Will not have other chance

Will not be able to comply with NYAA requirements

ATC no need go one la...u sec 4 still can go again...trust me...last time i also NPCC one...summore go there as helpers...no nid do those xiong things....

Don't waste time in uniform group activities lah. I have regret wasting my 4 yrs in secondary sch weekend being torture and insulted. Finally got a rank of WOII, so what?? Leave sch nobody knows

Ya loh...whats impt is you get yourself exposed to as much things as possible...to quote an example, i even used NPCC to get me to OBS Brunei ($50/- only & SIA Flight!)...after came back i MIA and nv return!

But the thing is that my OC is so damn fierce and also she is my Humanities teacher

She can even strip you until you no stripe and still dun care

urh. I typed something related to NCC only to realise you're in NPCC. ahahaha.

Go with your heart...really. No one can really force you to do something if you dont wish to. If theres another chance for the thing u hope for, then u can leave it another time. If not, if its a once in a lifetime thing, I say go for it. You can slap your OC big time and "who cares?".

ATC=Adventure Training Camp a.k.a go there kena torture by Seniors and officers. Knowing cadets will be slower in their actions, they tekan!

i think its quite true that after u leave sch.. who cares.. the only importance is when after secondary school u might need the cca point.. else... who cares~

follow ur heart..... if i were u i go for the underwater thingy.... i myself is a s/sgt in npcc..... so what no big deal...... i hate this island called ubin........ its so full of crap and the hike towards the campsite is a major killer...... everything down there is devised to tortoure you..... even the most chiou bu of the officers turn out to be divils with a mask on...... you what rank now ??? if i were u i would go for the more important badge like PK=police knowledge drill 1st class.........i am going for the CI course this year ... u any plans to going ????

Do both. What I understand, the ATC has no alternative dates, so go for it. THe other one, is all about your ###### skill to convince your teacher to do it on another day, or conduct another one for another group of students.

There is no alternative dates for 2004 batch sec 3 to go for another 2004 sec 3 ATC, but it can be arrange among the area so that the cadets that missed out the past yr can join the coming yr. Meaning for eg. sec 3 u missed out, sec 4 u go as helper, and still get the badge.

sps dude: going CI course? good luck bro, its fun but after around a yr in unit, u'l;l get bored and starting to MIA, esp. with your studies and everything coming fast and quick. But do make use of the open courses organised for you guys, go for it. They have a number of courses that is quite interesting (eg. Learn to drive powercraft?)

the only ATC I know is Armour Training Centre aka my reservist paradise/hell.
