why doesn't my clown play with anemone?

i recently got a maroon clown and a common flase clown but both of them don't seem to play with my anemones.

i haf a purple tip and a lime green bubble tip.

what's wrong?

first thing you should know is that they do not "play" with the anemones

they live sybiotically with the anemones such that the anemones provide them with protection while they feed the anemone.

also note that not all clownfishes will live sybiotically with all anemones as some only prefer certain species of anemones while captive bred clowns usually do not go near an anemone

so what's wrong with the combination of clown and anemone i have in my tank?

i'm certain my clowns are caught from the wild so the issue of bred in captivity doesn't apply

i heard from somewhere that there has to be 7 reasons for a clownfish to play with the anemone one of which is it is about to mate.

anione can gif the other 6 reasons?

Try the red or maroon anemone............my clownfish is attracted to the rose BTA almost immediately after I introduce the rose BTA.

My clownfish MIA already so selling off my rose BTA, pic is posted in pasar malam. Pm me if interested.

IMO...

only certain clowns will host certain anemones....

other than that.... it is see "heng suey" one....
