Help: Protein Skimmer Troubles

Recently bought a second hand Macro Skimmer powered by a 2,200liters/hour pump, but seems like bubbles are too small and it doesnt even reach the skim cup. Any advice as how to make this protein skimmer do wat its supposed to do?

which model of MACRO r u using?? u can either adjust the water output or get a more powerful pump

thanks for the advice. im not really sure abt the model of my p/s, but its roughly ard 2ft high n 6' in diameter..... by adjusting u mean to say increase the power or i need lesser so the bubbles can reach the cup and skim?

There's a knob at the outlet tube. Can adjust the height of the water level in the skimmer. BTW how do u connect the PH to the skimmer? I mean using long hose or direct?

yup, keep playing with the height of the water level in the skimmer using the control valve..should be red colour if i'm not wrong... fine bubbles are good!!! takes some time and playing around before u'll get the optimum results.... i took 1 week with my skimmer before it started to skim out the think black dirt that i want..all the best...the height of the water level in the skimmer should be slightly below the neck ....it'll take some time for the water to start breaking into foam and overflowing into the collection cup though..hope that helps
