I was told softies ( especially leather ) could start the chemical warfair when mixed with SPS.

Is that true ? Has anyone encounter ?

Yes. The mucus that the leather shed when come in contact with SPS will result in RTN. Better remove leather and fingers before adding SPS. But I still see some big tanks from foreign websites with SPS and leathers together. ???

I think (marine) therefore I am

My leather is about 1' away from SPS. Cause I divided tank to two section left for softies and right for SPS.

However decided to give away since lot of ppl said so.

How about mushroom / elephant ear ? Will they sting too.

Mushies should be ok as long as there's no contact. I have many mushie and SPS, all doing ok. But once, my red mushie detached and rested on my stags and that part RTN.
