put a really deep sand bed, this will reduce the height a bit.

You will need a solution for the overflow... But overall the setup looks nice. It has potential for landscaping I think.

What MH are you using? The deeper the tank, the stronger the light must be to get to the bottom...

Best whishes and congratulations on this new tank.

  U mean? Drain from the lowest level?

i mean i use the L bow and other PVC pipes to construct the overflow.

and the pipe will run across the tank (under the DSB ) to the left of the tank, then join with a vertical pipe as the overflow.

please refer to the picture..

the black area refer to the L bow and the pink area represent pipes under the DSB and the blue dot refer to the vertical pipe that is link from the pipes (pink) to the surface of the water as overflow.

....

sorry for my bad phrasing..

any disadvantage for this setup

Why not install an internal overflow box. This would solve your future problems. Anyway the I~Box is using 25mm fittings.

From the pic of your hood, there dont seem to be any vent or fan in your hood to help hot air escape. It look good from outside but it traps heat in your tank. Results if using chiller - overwork chiller and high elect bill with time in between chiller not running shorten.

Hi, would u mind sharing with me how much something like your tank and carpentry works costs? I m thinking of doing something like this. :thanks:

just got a tank 3 ft (length) 3ft (height) and 2.6 width.. a gift

15mm thick

for the setup...i think its better to ask from Brother SUGI

as i think he got a better setup for marine tank wif cabinet.
