Q: How to make them spread?

A: A few shots of tequila with some party drug..... nvm

how to make them spread: they will spread themselves if happy. sometimes a powerhead directed at them helps them to relocate if thats what u mean. or do u mean open up? then juz sufficient lighting would do it.

what would harm them? Too generic question. juz keep a normal reeftank and u wont have to ask this kind of question. Mushrooms are one of the hardiest things u can ever throw into your tank

First post of gatecrasher..... be nice guys...... after all the effort we have put in to make a name in ST ya know

Gatecrasher .... you can read the topic under setting up of marine tank or go to http://www.garf.org to learn how to make a simple setup for reef tank called the bullet proof reef tank... your mushroom and not so demanding corals should be able to survive or thrive.

you might wan to read onlinemag which now they are featuring an article on ricordeas which is same requirement as you mushroom.

Try to read up more to keep them going and enjoy reefing for years to come

my 2 cents

Gatecrasher....

I'm not refering to you with my previous post on this thread.... no offense and ain't no intention to scare you off....

But really, thats the best answer to that question of yours..... :P

mushrooms are considered one of the least demanding of corals to sustain..... even to the point of being a pest in conditions are ideal for them to reproduce......

If you are really keen into shrooms, then Woonming would be the reefer to look for for some decent advice....

He has a number of pretty good looking specimens that he currently propogating.... and of course his recent addition of Ricodeas....

Cheers..... welcome to the world of reefing...... :)
