wat if i place corals high up near water surface and the sump does not have tat much of water.....

how u guy do it ?

Off your lights before you get the corals exposed. Most corals can last out of water for some time provided they are kept cool and moist. Don't leave your lights on to cook your coral.

Always something more important than fish.

that happen to mi too ... but after i have my sump install, i simply siphon out the water in the sump in the third compartment , then just top off with my mixed salt water ...i am sure most coral can survive without water for a short period of time ... but not too long B)

Even with SPS, when I change water, I'll just siphon out the water and not bother touching the corals. They can't be removed from the rocks anyway. I'll then pump water back using an Eheim 1262 and the whole process takes about 10 minutes max if you've got everything you need ready.

Conculation !

1. Leaving corals (SPS, LPS....so on) for about 10mins above water level alright.( so can take out water from main tank , rather than sump where has less water )

2. Off MH so it won't cook coral.

Pls correct me if my conculation is wrong. Or add on.
