Mystery death in my tank

I have some mystery death in my tank for last few months. Sometimes I would heard a clicking sound or something knocking the glass.

How do I confirm if it is a Mantis Shrimp or some other nuisance. I am suspecting the sound is created by the 2 hermit crab knocking on the glass.

Casualty so far

1 inch LionFish (1pcs)

Cardinal (3 pcs)

Mandrain (2pcs)

Is sound is loud and once ?

According to what I had read, as long as life lost mean there is high chance of having this guy in ur tank. May be u need to wake up in the middle of the night with touchlight to spot him

try to look into any holes in your LR with a torchlight and see whether there is a pair of eyes (hated those from the beginning) or a body of a shrimp in it

anyway to lure them out?

this is what I did

- find the rock he was hiding

- move the rock to the top

- wait for him to hide in the rock.

- push him in the hole by using chopsticks.

- he will angry and hide inside like crab.

- move out the rock

- flush with tap water.

He will be out there for u to catch.
