Just got the 14KG of LR from PasirRis fish Farm.. and add into the tank.. day 5..

So take out the prawn...

So what should i do now?

Oh.. also add in 1 zebra damsel inside the tank..

using fish during cycling is a bit cruel... possible to let ur friend or LFS have it first ???prawn meat method is gd enough liao

very soon u will have ammonia spike because u are only in day 5...

sala bro, take out the fish!!! rescue the poor soul and put the prawn meat back inside the tank....... leave it to dissolve.

Hey will the cycling be affected if i add the LR in midway of the 1 month?? I have currently 10kg of LR but i still think is not enough... Pls advise.

hi Golden Tooth, I have just check out TOM tank (danano). I think he didn't DIY his T5... he bought the ATI T5 Powerlux retrofits from eAN. I checked the eAN webby... the cheapest for a 3ft tank is ard 315+ (haven't plus the FL tubes)... still too ex for me .... Or are there cheaper ones out there??

Anybody got good T5 lighting system for 3 ft willing to sell??

basically, that's what cycling is all abt. get it over and done with once and for all. for addition of corals wait till u achieve zero readings in ammonia and NO2. bound to hv some NO3 readings. do a 20 to 30% water change then slowly add in LS and relative easy maintenance corals first.
