Running 2 PS concurrently

I heard from some reefers that running 2 PS concurrently will have a very strange phenomenon, ie. one skimmer will skim more than the other even though the latter skimmer used to skim a lot.

How true is this?

very true and it is logical, not strange. regarding the finer details as in why, pls do a search. i 2 lazy to type out everything.

But Eric told me otherwise leh. He is running 2 PS concurrently and he said that the combined skimmate is more.

if u using both similiar skimmer n pump n u got both the right setting tink u can have both similiar skimmate la

even if u get the exact 2 skimmers with same pumps, u will not get exactly same skimmates. no 2 product r exactly the same 100% so to speak. where u place ur skimmer place a part too.

maybe one is acting lyk a primary, e other is secondary

the skimmer u place nearer to the start of the water flow will skim more...

but it will miss out some skimmate...in which e secondary will do e job!

Well, I intend to place the 2 skimmer pumps parallel (not one after another) at the last portion chamber of the sump.

Will this configuration skim out more overall waste?

IMHO, if u do that, yes. it will skim out more waste volumetrically. but more or less the same density of waste produced in 1 skimmer.

Now I am even more confused whether to get another PS...

Wanted to get a beckett but too expensive for a piece of plastic equipment, I would rather get a set of golf clubs...
