Clam on sandbed or LR?

My tank is 6x2.5x2.5 and I'm runing 3x150w MH light for about 8 hours a day.

The question is, where should I place my clams? I have 2 clams now and they have been around for 2 months. I place them on the sandbed and lately I notice that they are turning brown. Is this a sign that they don't get enough light?

Should I move them up to the LR? Anyone eproxy their clam to the LR? I tried to put it on the LR once and it felt off after a few days.

I tried to put it on the LR once and it felt off after a few days.

Find a steady spot for it. If not, put few small pieces of LR beside it for few dayz.

erm... i dont think u should epoxy ur clam to the rocks....it might kill the clam...

The problem is, the clam is starting to STN. Is this because of lack of light? should I move it higher and closer to the MH?

Clams dun turn brown.. instead they bleach or their colour becomes shabby...... yes your lighting is too low especially when the height is 2.5feet...... oh ya they dun STN too(they waste slowly more probably)....

Most pobably bleaching... yes they will recover from proper care.... whats species is your clam if its maxima or crocea.. place them high up on the rocks.. especially so if you have only 150watt
