After not doing anything to my tank for 2 weeks,

I do 10% water change and tested.

To get shock, here is the reading I got ( with new test kits )

Ca 650

Kh 4.2

NO2 0

NO3 10

All test kits are Salifert except (Ca is Sera).

Seem like my Ca goes up and Kh goes down.

Could that be the salt I am using ? Me using "Fresh Fish" salt from Italy.

HELP, almost give up I am louzy in Chemistry and read so many pages without knowing anything. ( I failed my Chemistry papaer in A )

Bro,

Test your Calcium with Salifert. If still same reading do another 20% water change, If you don't trust your salt, change to what I'm using, Marine Environment. From personal experience, no problem with this salt.

If you're using Calcium Reactor, temporary discontinue first.

Then retest your Calcium, should be about 500 ppm if your present test shows 650 ppm. Boost you kH with Seachem Reef Builder (I think, the one that increases your kH). Follow the guidelines given don't boost too much within a day. Increase it daily until it is above 8. One week later test your water again, if calcium still high do another water change and boost your kh again if necessary. I personnally experience drop in kH everytime I do water change. Got no choice, only way to reduce calcium is to do water change only.

Tks bro.

No I don't have calcium reactor. So nothing to disconect :)

I have a bit confuse as well because I used Sera test kits before and all the result between Sera and Salifert are same. Just confirmed again.

However I have not tried Kh booster.

Ok tomorrow I will go and buy Seachem Reef Builder and try out.

Haaa if I need to do water change every week, I must well upgrade my tank :(.

My tank is getting messy.

So many wire running and my tank wasn't mean to have sump, tunze , overflow. now just name it I have it. except chiller and reactor ")
