I had seen a documentary while on a SQ flight about mantis schrimps. They have 2 drum-like claws and when clocked (as in clocking a gun/rifle) and let go, it releases a punch of more than 60 pounds (if my memory serve me well) of force upon impact !! Enough to stun/kill any LS or possibly break thin glass, as shown in the documentary.

This may point you to the murderer of your gobies.

in the past i hear clicking.. i never saw the it before..until i remove the lr and flush it with warm water.. the mantis is like 1cm only.. real small but the noise is real loud.. anyway i place it in a container in the open air and its gone.. perhaps the birds got it!

Actually mantis have both slicing type and smashing type.
