Mixing 10k & 20k HQI bulbs...

I just got a 3ft Weipro 2x150W DE MH fixture for my 3ft tank. Initially I was considering using 14k HQI bulbs but I can't find any in the SGD100.00 range, so I have to made do with 10k or 20k bulbs.

My questions are: has anyone mixed a 10k and 20k HQI bulb in one fixture for a 3ft tank? Any drawbacks? Which bulbs in the SGD100.00 (or below) range recommended? I will be keeping clams and SPS with a bit of LPS.

You can try victron for the 14KK 150W DE. Definately lesser than $100 for one bulb.

that bright for ur 3 ft tank.

majority I have read have not combine 10k with 20k. But if u check out book on 50 successfull marine tanks by Michael P. am sure u would fine one.
