i bought this palythoa at ah beng aquarium for $20, but i accidentally took the wrong one and the colour isnt nice, is it really $20 this one?

Most corals look brownish in whitish light. How does it look in blue light? Most shops display corals with blue light.

Can’t tell the colour from both your pictures tbh, but most LFSes would sell around the price u bought for. You could definitely get cheaper prices from fellow reefers here or elsewhere though. Suggest u check what type of coral it is properly before buying next time.

Sorry to say but it’s up to your own discretion/due diligence when u VIEW and purchase corals. If u took the wrong one as per mentioned it isn’t fair to say the lfs cheated u. So No, u didn’t get ‘cheated’ sir

Hey bro I'll say it's a fair price ah. If it's a paly like u said, it's prbbly a captain jerk paly at that price point. For 3 polyps at that price from a shop is fair. (Consider rent charges, salary to employees) Ofc if u buy from src, u can get more polyps at that price point or maybe abt $12-15 for 3 pp (if u lucky)

No worries abt it, even if it's ugly u will come to like it Just rmb to always take your time and do your research. Can't rush anything in this hobby, best thing I learnt thus far
