gflor98
Dosed Chemiclean to get rid of Red Slime about a week or two ago, these showed up a few days after, and are covering my corals very badly. After cleaning up, one or two days later they grow over corals again. Any idea what these are, and any advice to get rid of it completely? Ghetghud
If cyano just use red slime remover ultralife or chemi clean. Super easy and all the cyano will be gone in a few days. In my case it never came back. But if its dino then you just have to wait it out. Maybe get more cuc eg lots of snails emerald crab helps too Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member typrobin Posted May 4, 2022 SRC Member Share Posted May 4, 2022 i went through the same problems as you, both cyano and dino and also was very eager to "cure" the problem. there will be Dino X for Dino. due to my stupidity, i overdose (too eager) and had all my corals wiped out over 1 week. i would strongly recommend just using bacteria... special blend, microbac7, etc... let nature take its course... have to be very very patient and let the tank mature, if not u'll burn out trying to solve all the problems. Ghetghud
The brownish stuff is dino. You just have to let the tank mature. Suck up as much as you can when doing water changes then let the clean up crew maintain. My dino disappeared within a few months Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
