What Glue Can Be Used On Acrylic?

Hi, I know silicon doesn't work with acrylic, so what else can I use? PVC glue? I think superglue is toxic so that's out, so what else is there? Can anyone kindly advise?

It works for me. I used it to construct my sump ###### refugium - the insides only, I don't trust myself to make the tank itself.

However, you can try something called "Acrylic glue". If I remember correctly, it costs $20 for 1 litre. You can get it from Dama Enterprise. They sell all kinds of acrylic cut to measure - clear, frosted, coloured, etc. etc. There's even one type which looks exactly like glass.

Epoxy? Not sure if it is reef safe though. But it will bind pvc together damn tightly.

yes ure right it is controlled......i`ve made 2 sumps using acrylic and i use Acryfix a transparent glue meant for joining acrylic sold in tube form(like those toothpaste kind)
