Some of food pple used to feed their sps. GP, live rotifier, coralplankton, zooplankton.

Btw cultured rotifers and very fresh live baby brine can feed some... most however need very fine zooplankton/nanoplankton. ;)

I don't think that species of phytoplankton has a saltwater variant! Do you mean Nannochloropsis?

SPS corals eat mainly zooplankton and although some species are also found to ingest larger phytoplankton, it is debatable if they actually utilize it or its just an incidental catch.

To feed filter-feeders like small clams, gorgonians, some soft corals, feed the micro-life larvae which end up as natural zooplankton for corals, sponges, tunicates etc etc?

Porites are consider stoney corals...and you dun see large polyps, so it is in the sps catagory.

And they take zooplanktons...like sps...if you are referring to some with the X'mas tree worms......phytoplanktons should be for the worms.

To me...acro.....coz keeping acro alive not a huge problem if you got the right equipment. But getting nice and coloured ones to hold and colour up nicely is not easy.

I have yet to see porites having such great demands..

er...a bit off topic :off: ...want to start a new thread?....

........interested to see people with exp with porites share a bit of knowledge on porites...
