Gonna get flamed...Introduced together. Both don't fight but swim around together. :heh: Nothing is impossible?

I used to have the 2 mandarins too... they live quite happily together... but now left 1... I think the other one of mine starved to death... lasted only 4months.. but the surviving one doing quite well...

What do you feed it with??

hey fuel..

u seem very lucky ah...

2 non fighting mandarins...

and a fierce guy who doesnt touch your shrimps..

? It's more of the way you introduce them I suppose. My both mandarins introduced together. The spotted looks full body when I got it..might be female. The other normal mandarin looks sleeker and might be a male. Maybe get hybrid mandarins?

Also the shrimps were in before the orchid dottyback. If the orchid dottyback was the first one in I think the shrimps would have been in its tummy.

Hmm..don't think its the pipefish you talking about. Mine the head area a little reddish one. It "slithers" around more than it swims.

Last pic of the night..the best of friends. B) Those are not white spot...but debri on the spotted mandarin..wonder where did it play in.

I'm stumped. Just tested my water today for nitrates using Salifert test kit. Been expecting it to be rather high as I've been feeding heavily daily (3 pumps of bioplankton, 3 pumps of coralplankton, some golden pearls per day) and I only have a small area (between 1-2 lunchbox size) of dsb in my sump. And I don't use liverock. Skimming using AquaC urchin (10 hrs a day). Have about 10 fish in about 50 gallons of water. Only changed 1 coralife bucket of water since my tank got running few months ago. Results came out undetectable nitrates. Could my test kit have expired? I only used it for like 4-5 times.

Got them at Iwarna...the only 2 special ones to me. :D Still got other unique ones but quite small. Many thanks to Victor for letting me have them. Reasonable price...but still the most expensive urchin I have ever bought (actually don't mind paying more for them). See if can ask him bring in pencil urchin or not (the hawaii type). :eyebrow: Will I start an urchin trend this time?
