Problems with Laguna No5

Hello!

I installed my sump 6 weeks ago using a laguna No5 as return pump going through chiller. I estimate the presssure loss to be around 1.5 to 2m. It worked perfectly well no noise, no problems. About 4 weeks ago a problem occured with the plumpbing and the pump ran "half dry" for a few hours as I was away. After fixing the piping it all worked fine again until a few days ago when the pump starded making a loud noise and vibrate resonably more. I took it apart, cleaned it and it worked Ok for a few hours until the noise start again...

Could the short time it ran half dry shorten its life like that... :(

Anyone has had similar experience? What should I do: buy a new one or is there a way to fix it?

Thanks for the help!! ;)

:thanks:

Usu the rotor is suspended by a magnetic field inside ...when you take it apart - did you notice anything weird - the rotor shouldn't be touching any side wall.

Maybe when you hear the noise - try to take it apart slowly at that point of time and observe ....

And Lagnua pump cannot be run dry ;)
