My DIYed Tank Hood

How? Any other ways to improve my design? I thinking of doing a door in the front of my hood so i can perform maintainance easily and do scaping without the hassle of removing the hood.

weishun, did you secure the MH to the plywoord or without? or only using nails to prevent from dropping?

I just put nails to prevent the MH from sliding here and there just to prevent it from dropping into the water loh.

the ballast is external ballast,i place in on a table behind my tank..currently no pics...digi cam not with me..i'm planning to mount 6X24w t5 very soon..actually quite easy to do lahz..all u need is some quality wood strips,a power drill and some good screws.
