Air valve tuning for skimmer

I`m using schuran skimemr..got it from a fellow reefer...i started it up yesterday but i removed the valve for the air intake cos i dunno how to use it yet..woke up today and saw that nothing much has happened....only about 1/2 a cm rise of bubbles only.....so mayb i tot the air valve has got something to do with it...

okie..i jus did a 30% water change (my tank has been cycling for almost 1 mtm...i think)...fine tuned the air-valve and set it to work again....this time the foam went all the way up to the funnel`s neck but its probably becos i jus changed the water..see how it goes in a few hours time.....last nite when i first try it out there was no foam except on the surface of the water in the riser..

Here`s a pic of it in action..err...i think its too big le rite?

Hey bros....need help again...theres a valve at the joint where the hose from the pump is connected to the skimmer....my guess will be that its used to control water flow right?...the problem is when i turn the valve even a centimetre either direction, the bubles will stop flowing...i mean there will be no bubbles produced...

Why is that so?

Ques: Can a needle wheel pump be used with a venturi skimmer?...how will be its outcome?....

the outcome, my friend, is the H&S skimmer! :lol:

its a great venturi skimmer working on the aquabee needlewheel pumps..... ;)
