SRC Member legos36 Posted March 1, 2022 SRC Member Share Posted March 1, 2022 Hi everyone, would like to gather some tips on how I can make my tank more colourful. what colours should I add to make the tank “pop”? My tank is a 2x1x1.5ft with a Lumini Pixie 30 on full power. I’m pretty sure these set of lights aren’t powerful enough for the whole tank but I’m not sure which lights to upgrade to that wouldn’t be too costly. Current corals include: GSP Zoas Hammers Torches FF digitata Pink Birdnest Mushroom GBTA Looking forward to learning from everyone (: Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member DottyClown Posted March 3, 2022 SRC Member Share Posted March 3, 2022 Maybe increase the Blue spectrum of the light and add some Red colored corals.

SRC Member DottyClown Posted March 3, 2022 SRC Member Share Posted March 3, 2022 I noticed you will be introducing a Bi-color Dottyback. Be cautious as it will likely harass the purple firefish. Hope you have a tank cover.

SRC Member legos36 Posted March 6, 2022 Author SRC Member Share Posted March 6, 2022 Haha thanks for the response @dottyclown and @Ref00 Okay I will consider adding more red and perhaps lumi corals. And yes that is aiptasia ): I introduced the copperband and harlequin filefish but they didn’t really touch the aiptasia at all. And sad news, my copperband died 3 days after introduction to tank with a black belly. Not sure what happened T.TSent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member leovin13 Posted March 8, 2022 SRC Member Share Posted March 8, 2022 Oh yes, bicolour dottyback, bad news. Very territorial and will harass other fishes except a few. It was afraid of my clown fishes but harassed the rest including my goby until the goby refused to come down. Sent the dottyback packing to NFS who were kind enough to accept him. Tank was peaceful thereafter
