Getting rid of stubborn Algae stains on the tank glass

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am using a flipper magnet cleaner to clean my glass.  My daughter also helps with the tank cleaning occasionally.  I noticed that there are some stubborn algae stains that are harder to come out.  Any advice as to what I can do?  I thought of getting those laundry brushes with the stiff plastic bristles, but worried what it would do to my tank silicon joints and whether it would scratch the glass.

Try those wapper plate type glass scrubber with thin razor blade.. these are very effective in cleaning those hard to remove algae

Hi Harleyquinmania,

I have been using this.

I could try the one you recommended but I am not sure how strong I can exert on the stick.  Kinda regret getting such a deep tank.  I think if I ever restart the tank I would do a shallower lagoon. :(

I second this recommendation by he. Easily scrap off algae and even coraline algae. Highly recommended
