DIY servicing of chiller?

i understand from others that one usually gets some vinegar and runs the stuff thru the pipes via a pump. this is to eliminate calcium deposits i think?

Questions:

for how long must the stuff be circulated thru the chiller?

how mani bottles of vinegar required?

how do i know if the gas is empty?

any other parts i must check to ensure the chiller is ok?
