Crab eat Elephant ear or anemone?

Can I know whether crab will eat or damage both elephant ear and anemone?

Other than that, wat are the natural enemy of elephant ear and anemone?

I am asking on behalf of a friend who just bought an elephant ear, placed it in his tank and within an hour, he found that one end of his elephant ear is being "pulled" into a hole in the LR. He managed to gently loosen it from the LR but there is a big tear. Then he saw a 0.5 inch crab running out of the hole.

I've 4 elephant ears but only got sting with 1 of the anemone. did hv some mini crabs ard but so far, nv disturb leh. suggest u get a pincer or pin n poke the crab. elephant ears are easy hurt n once tear, takes a long time to heal. my 'hurt' ear still trying itz best to recover.
