I have bought the PVC hose in 38mm some time back. Just want to use silicone as I think it will offer better vibration absorption between my pump's union and the sump's bulkhead. Initially thinking of direct connection using fixed PVC pipes but think better use something soft to dampen the vibrations.

Just took a picture. Its 100% PVC and I know its good for connections in hard to get in places but I guess for pump connection, its a bit stiff to absorb vibrations.

BTW weileong where you got your 45 tee? GF? order mine and need 2 weeks to arrive. That's why slowing down my tank start up.

DIN = Rich man :P

No lah.....what rich man...who ah who ah. Actually price not much difference for SCH80 and DIN standard as what I found out. So decided to go DIN as the pipe's wall thickness is thinner for the DIN.

Wei Leong,

Guess you are using a red dragon? Should come with a silicone tube. Can take a rough measurement what is the wall thickness. Or anyone using a Red Dragon, can kindly provide info on the wall thickness. Thanks.
