What is the name of this goby?

Recommended Posts

Ctenogobiops tangaroai

Interestingly, its also a shrimpgoby which will readily pair up with an alpheid shrimp.

Since 'Cteno' means 'comb' in Greek, I have not quite figure out what is the function of a comb-goby :eyeblur:

You can name it whatever you like, 'spot'? :D

yeah as always.. if you have the system and knowledge, i wun bug you

I did check with the LFS on what its name but he don't seems to know and it is the last one left after so many day and it looks "dead" to me but I know it must be because of the water quality hence I decide to get it and it is now doing very well in my tank, eating flakes and frozen brine and mysis shrimps

I tried looking for it on the website before I buy it but not able to find it....so apologize for that :D
