Like others suggested, getting a good cleanup crew (CUC) mixed with Nassarius Snails, turbo snails, tuxedo urchins and even some blennys that munch on algaes are good! Alternatively, whenever you do a weekly/periodic water change, try using a gravel vacuum. 

If your corals are RTN/STN-ing due to you cleaning, then you might need to think what's causing that. Whenever I use a gravel-vac to suck my sand/substrate, my corals do fine. Could be numerous factors or guesses, but all the best!
