coral fighting ???

due to my limited space i realise my hammer send out one of its 'hand' to sting my jewel ...

a pic to share ...

anyones has such a experience ... will my jewel suffer adverse aftermath ??

my frogspawn dropped onto my mushrooms...i took it out only after 3days, but the mushroom did not survive...

most corals have stings, especially hammer bubbles and frogspawn that has sweeper tentacles..this is to ensure tat they will kill any other corals that are in their way so that they can grow bigger...

my hammer stung my jewel but no problem....no worries

humm... but i think hammer are very violent .... they actually initiate the attack .....

I ever have that experience my hammer sting my goniopora but my goniopora is okey until today. don't to worried if your hammer sting not too often.

yup ... come to think bout it ... haha i watch spiderman 1 together with the tank in my rm ... happen that the hammer coral is the nearest to the tv haha

I also experience this before. My hammer was stinging some other coral...

I tried to separate the stinging head but also ended up breaking it. It really grab hold tight and will not let go...

But still both the hammer and the other coral do fine... No significant damage.

Best to separate the jewel and hammer... in case the stinging repeats itself.

most LFS had deadly sting.. that's why u can see why ppls have so much spacing in their LPS tank..
