Just got a couple of tube worms and placed it on the sand bed covered 50% of the bottom with a light covering of sand. However it doesn't seem to open since i got it. Should i place it somewhere else with less/,more current? cover it with a bit more sand or just leave it be? How do i know if i should just chuck it into the bin?

6ft x 2ft x 3ft

Suggestions so far.

1. Remove coral chips and ceramic rings and replace with live rocks. removed...looking for live rocks now

2. get rid of most of the filter cloth

3. First Buy!!! Skimz FR with Sorb4 and eheim pump

4. Re-doing the sump.....I~aquatic doing up the plans.

5. Lighting MH+T5 or T5 only? how many?

6. Chiller?

7. Wave maker

8. check valve on the return line to prevent sump overflow (great idea)

9. Refugium? Anything to replace it? a FR of some sort maybe?

Tank Inhabitants

1x Blue Tang

1x picasso trigger

2x Brown Tang

1x pygmy angel

Confirm u bought the whole sarong? If yes, any place will do. ;)

Ime ever bought only half the sarong n the worm is at the other half which is at the shop due to mishandling when packing. :pinch:

Press the sarong gently to see if there's anyone inside. ;)

try to observe if any fish is pecking or rubbing against the tube.

these kind of actions will definitely disturb the worm from coming out.

did u stick one end of the worm into the sand?

make sure its the right end....ah bo it might not come out?

mine are all blooming regardless where i put..under stroing lighting under strong current...no current zone..etc etc..think they hardiest among corals?

my batch survived regardless how often i rearranged the LR....and my fren's tuebworms survived when his mushrooms melted due to high temperature..

so they shld be rather hardy..
