Local Water Anemone

as above. Have collected the above from east coast around the canal near the seafood center. It's about the size of 50cents coin. They are all closed up and it's low tide and they are out of water.... so if you are there.... look closely... and oh hermit crabs too.... both blue and yellow leg

no lah aiptasia is not that big ..... size of a 50cents coin.... it looks very close to sand anemone though. Have had aiptasia problem.... but dun look like that

it looks like a aiptasia for me also... but at 50cents coin size...... it would be most likely to be a GIANT AIPTASIA!!!

Looks like Aiptasia to me also. Maybe you can put a 50 cent coin next to it for comparison.

Eh i would not want such creature as i always believe that singapore's sea invertebrates are not nice at all ..... Maybe some would disagree but that my opinion

It is a kind of sand anemone... anyway usu no clowns will host this kind of anemone...

I hv collected n reared these b4 back in the '70s when i was still in school & quite broke. Its a kind of rock anemone and no clowns go into it but pretty interesting creatures to study as well. I fed them prawn or squid meat last time. A few well-fed specimens looks pretty gd in a tank but of course in terms of colours u cant compare with the stuff sold at lfs but nonetheless they r pretty gd creatures (& hardy & cheap) to keep. Hv fun.

Strong light n feed them prawns now n then..

They get food from their normal photosynthesis.
