Hi reefers, would like to know if 1 maxspect jump led light is enough for a 3 feet LPS/Softies tank? Currently, only have 1 maxspect jump led on my 3 feet. Thinking whether I should add 1 more?

I have the Nuvo 40. My light is at the center, lengthwise the ends don't have enough light. As the leds are puck style, some stones and corals create shadows

If possible, rent a par meter from other reefers for par measurement, sometimes less is more, i got bleach corals b4 with too high light especially LPS. Use Eye is not zhun one. Most important is the light intersection point, ie the area inbetween 2 light source. If budget constraint, can google app for par measurements, dont think its accurate but agaration is better than nothing. Just my 2cents. Best of luck and happy reefing!

If you get 2 you can just turn them down in settings. You will get better coverage with more even lighting and less shadows throughout the whole tank

Okay thanks for the advices!! Might try to measure par first then decide, some zoas losing their bright colouration on the sandbed, not sure whether is it a lack of light

An easy way to find out if the light is the problem, is to just move them higher up
