get the ultimate off roader.the numero uno,the one and only LANDROVER!!! ;)

Big lusty vocal engine and go anywhere drivetrain and suspension makes this the undisputed king of off roaders. If u are buying an off roader, look no further.

Actually, any serious off roader will know that the ultimate 4WD for the real stuff is the Toyota Landcruiser. Costs the same as an S-class but goes anywhere! National Geographic uses it, United Nation uses it, even the US Army uses it! It's the most popular car in Afghanistan. In the Sahara, it's the most common 4WD (always in white colour). It's near indestructible and there are vehicles which are older than me still running in the desert.

Discovery is capable but has been soften to cater to the school run market. The only hardcore Landrover is the Defender!

My 4.2L turbo diesel Landcruiser in Morocco.

X5 is 300K.

A6 was 200K and yes it's not SUV so I am moving to SUV.

Well, I drove that 200K sedan to Laos :D not SUV. Even @ Thailand border, they already known me by name cause I was only stupid fellow to drive exp car to Laos.

I want to see Laos , Cambodia and China on MPV so moving to MPV.

I compared MPV and SUV, mean that eventhough X5, Allroad and XC90 are SUV but more luxury than MPV

Bro, should have seen the porsche SUV, damn cool man! see the rims already salivating liao.... :yeah:

Test drive the Toureg and you will realise its off-road capability. It's one of the best well crossed SUVs (can drive like true off-roader and has luxury of sedan). XC tries to be MPV and loses SUV touch. RX300 doesn't even look tough enough to go off road.

In Singapore, I think the most true SUV goes to Range Rover.

I think (marine) therefore I am

err... franklyspeaking... disco(landrover discovery) will be the ultimate 4WD SUV.

but, i'm sure you'll be looking for a vehicle that is reliability/luxury/brand/blah blahblah/and not so expensive... so, i think XC90 fits the bill. Anything other than that, you'll be paying more than Quarter million dollars...

The Volvo XC90 does have the third row seats as an option. I think it is standard in the T6 version. Just have a look at SM Motors showroom.

The Toyota Landcruiser or Lexus Cygnus and Landrover Discovery also have fold away third row seats. I don't think the Prado has it thought. Don't forget Range Rover and Jeep Grand Cherokee. There's also the unique Toyota Kruger or Lexus GX330 which looks like a station wagon on steroids and can be used in the Australian outback unlike the soft Harrier or GX300. Something special will be a black Mercedes Benz G-wagen!

American MPV will be the Chrysler Voyager.

Tried Jeep, solid very good for offroad.

However, remember most of the time , we still be driving city (Singapore) so it's off.

XC90 is look cuter than others :D

or may be I am so sticked to the logo ? Wish Auid come out with something like this rather than sport wagon.

A note about SUVs is that they are 24% safer when involved in a collision with a small car but statistics show that there are 40% more fatalities for passengers and drivers in SUV vehicles. The reason being the tendency for the SUV to turn turtle due to the higher center of gravity. Just a sudden swerving maneuver in a SUV at 80 km/h is enough to send it flipping on normal roads.
