Silly question about joining tubing

Recently, I connected my chiller to an Eheim external filter. While doing that, I connected a smaller diameter rubber tubing (hose) to a larger one by just pushing the smaller one into the bigger one. Now its leaking slightly. How can I seal the joint so that it wont leak or get disconnected and turn my living room into swimming pool for the 100th time? Can use epoxy to seal from the outside? Was thinking of that so that I don have to disconnect the tubings and washing and drying it before using silicone.

why dun you get a proper adaptor?

what are the size of the two tubing? Ehiem have those adaptors.

My advice is better don't use silicon.

My personal experience with such joints, cleaned, dried and applied over 5 layers over a few days is that after some time, the water will find some ways of squeezing through.

Better use proper adapters unless you wish to join your LS for a swim.

i bought an adaptor from C328..the one that sells freshwater fishes ..

connected my 12/16 to a 16/22 via an adaptor..

just tell them u need to connect these 2 pipes..they will show u the connector..

$2 only..

save all headache and stresss of leaking....
