Rowas saturated in 3-4 days?

Hi all,

just got myself a Fludised Reactor and put in about 1kg of rowas. But after about 1 week, the diatoms still growing like mad!! is it possible that the rowas has gotten saturated over 3-4 days? Should i change the rowas in my FR??

Diatoms? Its possible, if your silicates were very high to begin with.

Maybe you can try Silicarbon, a special activated carbon that precisely & effectively absorbs Silicate.

Besides this silicarbon, anyone else used any forms of products to reduce silicates??

Does anyone have a salifert silicate testkit dat i can borrow to perform one test?!
