Sand depth is negligible, they is only so much u can remove. 
 

30W amd without white lighting, watch your corals extension

Then this is quite do-able with your setup. Do take note hammers are stony corals.

There is white lighting as well, i turn the blue light to 100% and white to 60-70% cause i saw somewhere that coral benefit more bluelight and algae will grow faster with white light

Diatoms are generally not harmful, but it's always good to have some herbivores to graze all kinds of algae.

I have added 2 hermit crabs yesterday and they are doing well for now :-)
