Harlow guys! :D

Having reared Discus and many other fishes for 20 years of my life, I decided to go marine due to the saying that a marine tank is hard to keep. Haha, so when there was a tank left sitting in my bunk, I decided to setup my very first marine tank! :P

Now at one and a half months old, it is slowly evolving! So I would like to check you guys in here, where the fun starts haha! This is where the coral stocking starts. Livestock-wise I think it is enough already.

Here's the list,

LS ~

A pair of Maroon Clowns

A Yellow Tang

A Skunk Cleaner Shrimp

A Batfish (Platax orbicularis)

Reefy ~

A Hammer coral

A Lime Green Goniopora (my gem! )

Two Cup corals

Lots of mushrooms all over LRs, green, transparant and white.

Inverts ~

Bubble Anemone

Feeding them market prawns and Nutrafin slow sinking morsels.

Equipment ~

Weipro 2011 with Rio 1700 running it.

Jebo hang-on filter ###### skimmer

Coral and Ocean Sun flourescent lighting

I am currently not using any additives. Haven't decided whether to dose anything yet. Suggestions?

Water parameters on 9th July 2004 ~

Ammonia - 0ppm

Nitrite - 0ppm

Nitrate - 30ppm (grrr...new tank can't blame, got algae already! :paiseh: )

pH - 8.5

Temp. - 26.8-27.6C

So far very satisfied with my tank and everything is looking good besides the lack of a background and the brown algae!!! :peace:

Ok last photo for tonight! It is the left-side view of the tank when only the actinic is left on. More to come as it changes. Changed real fast, cause two weeks ago, it had only two LR inside! :D Comments?

ENJOY!

Haha, think I misundestood the way you phrase your sentence. Nvm, now I know what you talking about already! :yeah: Yeah, I can't wait for my cup to have tis polyps fully opened! I need lights!

One question, my brown at the left side of the tank used to be greenish on the interior two weeks ago. But now it is brown. Is it due to bleaching? Photo two weeks ago... ;)

sps_dude ~ No one takes care when I book out. <_< I leave it to the timer to give them light thats all. When Monday comes I treat all of them to market prawns. Their fav food. :peace:

To this...Just passed it over to bubble_gum this evening...Grew a lot in my tank. Btw I am quite certain that the greenish tint that the cup has is caused by calcium. I started dosing clacium 2weeks ago and its interior started to be slightly greenish instead of brown.
