Good Job. But, have you tried it out? My understanding of these Tupperware things is that the seals are designed to store the contents at a lower pressure than what's outside the box. That is to say, they are using ambient pressure to act on the seal on the lid to keep the inside of the box at a lower pressure.

I might be wrong, so let me know if it works. I might want to do it also if it works. :yeah:

Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be, be one.

eh... wat is the use of it arh?

To store ur active carbon and phosphate remover.........using a FR will help to fully utilise ur chemical effectively...........cos the water have to penetrate every single beads.........unlike if you put the chemicals in a netting bag and dump it inside the sump, the chemicals might not be fully utilised............

Have plans to connect 2 FR together - 1 for active carbon, the other Rowaphos or Phosban

oh... then how is it going to pump water inside?

For me, I use a small PH......you can tap off from ur overflow pipe or from ur return pump..........still works the same........you do not require high flowrate, just normal tapwater flowrate will do :-)

This is a good idea to save some money. But not sure if the tupperware is water tight. The cover may leak water. May need to put an o-ring to seal the cover.

I use it in sump, so no issue, but for those who wants to use the FR externally, I suggest you get those air tight water bottle, those have very good sealing......& remember to buy rubber seals for ur pvc connectors.......

How tall is this tupperware and where to buy it?

This tupperware is 10" tall diameter ard 4".........got it at Whampoa drive those under the blocks shops that sells "housewifes" items........wanted to get another 2 more for spare usage but they run out liao.........tuesday then got stocks.......

They also sell the airtight water bottle.......also 10" height, rectangle shape........

p/s: remember to cover the internal outlet pipe with netting to prevent your chemical beads from getting out.........I forgot then have to rubberband the netting on the external elbow.......but still works......hehe

Read the first few posts........

Eric

Yesyes, I've read the first few posts and i understand what this equipment used for. Hmm, the thing is, i do not understand how the water flow thru and out..

and how is it in a sense better than just putting the media in those poly (or stockings) bags.

:thanks:
