It would probably be due to stress during handling and the 'shaky' journey home. :(

Just dun keep repositioning it for the time being and if it still dun come out...likelihood is that the poor worm has dropped its 'feathery crown' and slithered somewhere to hide. Just pray hard that it wun end up in some of your tank inhabitants' stomaches...

just wanna share experience of my white coco worm. ;)

will come out just in a while, mostly when blue actinic lights are on.

apparently don't like MH, as when switched on will retract immediately

and takes an hour or two to come out.

but then again will retract with slightest disturbance. :(

perhaps i should re-position away from the glass front to avoid disturbance.

anyone knows if coco worm dislikes strong lighting ? :thanks:

yes...they do not like. so they already usually placed at the lower heights of a tank... :)

Especially where Mh is concerned, usually not directly under the glare... B)

Hmmm... mine is directly under my MH and it still comes out all the time... only retracts when disturb. Think it will acclimate itself after time? i also dunno.. :P mine is put in an area of indirect flow, where it sways gently in the current. I never target feed mine, they are filter feeders, just squeeze DT and let them filter it out.

My coco very near to my lights too and as I type, two of them are wide open. If you wan them to have the nice nice cone shape, den cannot have high current... if not, they are are okay with moderate current flow... :)
