Best medicine for ich

This is the second time my dt have ich . This med really cure it. But take note of the instruction when dosing as the med work only when the ich is free swimming .

There are mixed reviews about this product but more importantly, it does not eradicate ich from DT - all it does it maintain it to a low level. There is a whole discussion about ich eradication vs maintenance and I guess both has its benefits.

Will be a real nuisance if it keeps coming back and general consensus is all is takes is a major event (like return pump spoilt etc) to bring down the entire fish population in DT

Not sure about you but i feel very insecure introducing new fishes if i know my existing tank has ich in it...

I'm reluctant to use this as well, I read reviews that after dosing invertebrates died. so is there someone to confirm its really reef safe?

I have used it many times. With no issues. Unless the white balls drops on to corals. Recommend from my personal experience for ich. It worked every time for me. Have to dose as recommended. Follow timings as well.

as long as the product is used carefully(i.e dissolved in tankwater before pouring into ideally the sump of the tank to be safe), it is pretty reef-safe. it’s essentially balls of hydrogen peroxide.

that said i wouldn’t dump it in the dt when undissolved as the balls have caused bleaching in my anemone and killed one of my mushrooms when some landed on them. so i would say it’s yet another “reef safe with caution” thingamabob in this hobby hahahaha.

it does help with managing ich though, at least from my experience. Velvet? another animal altogether.
