Hi guys,

I noticed that 2 colonies of my buttons started to wilter... doesn't look too good leh but I can't seem to figure out what's wrong....

Water params:

Sa ~1.022

Ca 440ppm

kH 6dkh

NO3 2.5ppm

pH 8.0

All other corals look pretty normal to me, even the SPS look normal... just the buttons look like they are in pretty bad shape...

Thanks!

Ervine

hehe..I used to keep them kH of 6 too..but they grew awesomely slow..so now I increase kH to around 10..:off:

Anyway..ervine..look closely at your zoanthids and double check if you have contracted any parasitic nudibranchs. Let's just hope its not caused by these fellas. ;)

Always something more important than fish.

:off: Bro you keeping SPS with 6 dKh????:shock: Better boost it up to around 8 to 12 dKH.

Yah testing was done before I added my buffer... now 10dkh... usually dips down to 6 by the end of the week (which is when I tested)...

Well anyway... strangely the zoos are fine, a small colony of buttons looks normal, but one colony of GSP and my buttons still look like they are dying.. today looks SLIGHTLY better but still....

Here's a pic of them.. the space in the middle used to be occupied by the buttons... sigh...

The arrow is pointing to a neighbouring healthy colony...
