Something inside Guiness Stout

Hi All, Yesterday after dinner, my father-in-law open up a can of guiness stout. After emptying the content into a cup, he release that there was something in side. He cut open the container and found a plastic ball inside (size slightly smaller than a ping pong ball). Not sure if this is the latest marketting gimmick from them so would like to seek yr opinion? Will try to post a pic soon, have trouble transfering the pic from my camera ph to my laptop....

Some beer like kilkenny has this ball that releases the 'froth' so that the effect is like draught beer

It's quite normal for stout or ale to have this small ball in the can

which makes the beer more foamy when it is opened.

Yup, it's normal for the "draft" beer type cans.

it is used to create the draught feeling of can beers

Yeah, its for the draught feel for the beer. Kilkenny has it as well.

Here's something interesting dat I suddenly thought of... do u guys recall the Stout called " Ang De Kao "?? ( in Hokkien ) ?? Do you guys know there's a bulldog on it?!
