guys...

now my tank is on

1 10 000k azoo 150w MH DE bulb

1 deltec aquablue 39watts T5 (its white)

1 ATI 39watts T5 (very blue)

1 arcadia 30w actinic

should i change my MH bulb to the 20 000k 150w Iwasaki DE?

or the weipro 14 000k 150w DE?

i'm afraid that the saki will make my tank look too blue...:blink:

also do ya guys think my lights are strong enough for SPS at the top?

IMO wait for cyano clear up first.. get your PO4 to 0 den maybe try sps

yeah i think so too...

but i think its not clearing up cuz my turnover rate too slow.

i want to increase the flowrate of the return pump.

quietone 4000 high head?

eheim 1260?

MD 40?

NOT just phosphate removers, I see a very much lack of water currents in your tank. Get something to give your tank a nice current so that detrius will not settle on your sandbed and cyano will not visit your tank. My recommendation is either tunze or some wave maker or couple of powerheads given the size of your tank.

thanks for reply bro.

already have 3 powerheads in my tank.

wanted tunze but figured it will be too powerful.

no detrius on sand bed, but there is cyano.

i have a eheim external filter with 1l of contraphos just connected a few days back.

but i think turnover rate too low so i need to add or change my return pump.

going for MD 40 probably.

Nice tank Ryan.

You should be able to squeeze in a Tunze in there for improved flow. But you may need to shift some of your LPS.

You can break the flow of the Tunze by placing it behind a heavy piece of LR. Adjust the placement until you achieve the desired flow pattern.

If you do decide on a Tunze, I suggest going for a 6060 standalone or a 6000/6100 with single controller (if your budget permits). The controller has several useful features/functions, allowing you to vary the flow rate and pattern

Increase your kH if it is low and try to get it to 9 or 10. Keeping kH at this elevated level has been said to alleviate dinoflagellate bloom..it might very well affect cyano too. High kH levels and higher specific gravity will also improve skimming efficiency (due to higher viscousity). Try increasing your s.g to around 1.025 slowly over 2-3 days to see it it helps.

Always something more important than fish.
