discolouration in hammer

there is something up with my hammer...

the bright green tips have been disappearing over the past few days...

anyone know whats wrong?

i suspect a neutrient deficiency...

did water change today...

in the pic below, i circled the tips with the discolouration...

please advise...

The pigments might have gotten rubbed away upon contact with human skin. This happens to plate corals aka heliofungias too.

Wah, that little bit of discolouration can cause you to do a water change.........I respect

Actually nothing to be worried about..healthy corals should be able to recover quite easily. If you are worried next time just wear disposable plastic gloves or something when you handle your coral.

it should be ok... grew 2 new heads over the past few months...

thats would mean its quite healthy right?

wow... the hammer look super cool ...i think the discolouration is okie as my hammer go throught that too but it recover within a week ...

it is totally my fault as my hand itchy , go and touch the flesh as i relocate it...dun worry it will recover in no time if the water parameter is good ...
