Think angels have mouths that are more at the middle while tangs have mouths that are near the bottom of their head facing down. Tangs also have a spine just in front of the tail. Think tangs have a bulging forehead when compared to angels as well. Angels have a smaller head when compared to their bodies than tangs?

The spike below the gills... No spike tang, got spike angel...

The tang got the goofy and cute look... The angel like more aggressive...

The tang also rounder than the angel...

The lips of the tang is thicker than the one of the angel...

The mouth of the Tang is also bigger too..

One of my favorite tang so did some close observation and a some research...
