If you noticed, the algae at the back of the tank had peeled tremendously and there are some red calcareous algae has taken over on the tank + bottom of the exposed surfaces. Could be 2 reasons - one the UV steriliser does its work or two tank matured to the next phase.

only thing is you have to get rid of the Trigger if you intend to build a reef.....

Thanks Van, i know i may need to remove my clown trigger if going into reef....sad cos i love the trigger so much - so clownish and it helps me rid alot of the hitch hiker crabs !

My Naso was feeding for 2 days (immediately feed when put into the tank) however noticed that for the past 2-3 days not eating but nibbling at the rocks and some algae....wonder whats happening....

you're welcome Mel....lovely Clown Trigger and I wish I could keep one myself unless set up another tank but too much trouble liao. Big one already killing me everyday....

same problem with my Naso Lituratus as well .... very finicky eaters and I wish it would feed soon though.

whoa yours is fat ! will certainly do well in your tank - plenty of swimming space !! mine is just floating in the water and not eating ! just pecking at the rocks and algae ! previously was eating pellets and all....wonder whats happening !

don't know where it's getting it's nutrition from but it's certainly not eating the pellets I am throwing in or the nori liao. Hope this fella will grow big with long trailers....
