Does the Iwaki run cooler than the Resun? Any idea on the heat transferred to the water being pumped? got big difference?

i touched a resun md55 and the real McCoy Iwaki md55...

one is hot....one is warm

as for heat transfer to water....that i cannot prove quantitatively

he probably got it from fish street

I think 1 of the resun md55 also haywiring already.. the water level in my skimmer body suddenly dropped out of the blue... need to close the gate 1 full turn to raise the water level back to normal level...

Worried now...

I feel my resun MD40 (80W) and Iwaki MX70 (250W) the MX70 is still cooler than the Resun MD40

That could be caused by some stufffs that got choked in your MD55 impeller or the becket injector.

You probably need to take it apart to check it out.

Have taken the md55 impeller apart and could not find anything blocking it... have not checked the beckett yet thinking that It cannot be blocked since the debris has to go past the impeller of the pump before reaching the beckett head... will check it out tonite...

I only had time to went to the fish street this time so bought everything there.

Had to cut short my trip because my wife reports that the water level on my skimmer has dropped by 8" since Sunday. You guess it right, a snail got stuck at the beckett. Obviously all the meat are gone after being tortured by the MX70 flow

open up the impeller to soak in hot water to remove any grease/oil.

At the same time inspect the interior construction. Oh man.... light years of difference. It also rotates a lot smoother compared to the resun.

iwaki are much quieter and much cooler...

vinoth has a mx-100 and it is much quieter and not as hot as the md55...
