Go to Northwestern Wales it very beautiful. Pass Snowdonia and further on to the west there is a pennisula called 'The Llyn'. Very nice scenery there. Anglesey isn't too bad too.

Wah... you tempting me liaoz! yeah, read about some of these places... beautiful beautiful... either by caravan or car, but i think caravan is so much more fun, keeps you mobile and hassle free...

You rented a car all the way in Canada ah? wah... expensive sia...i'd rather buy one, then sell it off when i am done with it...doing that in the states soon... i find it much cheaper... :P agree with you, driving long distance is shiok shiok shiok... planning to drive all the way in Scotland and Wales for my honeymoon...

i think the problem with buying a car in states is getting the insurance... especially when you are not local... might be wrong... was in states some 10 years ago. anyway you can always rent from the cheaper guys... avis, herts will be damn ex... try going for corporate weekly rate.

yup... driving is fun... did san frans -> vegas -> grand canyon... shiok! especially when the HUGE truck overtakes you while you are already doing 100+ mph (not kmh)... those were the days... :P

yeah, insurance is the down side, pretty troublesome and confusing, just gotta get it done properly... but adding up, still cheaper... B) the cars are damn cheap, a 1.6l model cost around 1.5k usd... sports coupe is like 3-3.5k... sell it off, still get back most of the damage. that amount maybe enough to buy us a nice layer of vkool film here in our sunny island :pinch::lol:

best is every 2 hours u drive, take a 15 mins break........ if possible, make sure u hv spare drivers rotating the driver's job. ;)

Well , my tips here based on, I tried 18 hrs non stop from BKK to SG. These 18hrs included nice and enjoyful 2 meals time, 3 Poo times and 1 hrs nap time. So don't ask me what was my speed ( especially to those know NS police :) ).

Rest whenever you think necessary, safety first.

I am in mid 30 and had drive 26hrs nonstop when I was in early 20. However, last trip when I approch near to KL ( after 14hrs in the car ), I could not drive any more. Guess what, park the car in R&R and close my eyes and total sleep for 30 mins. Than FRESH...
