Total trip could last 3 week. Stop over at Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and China and drive back...

Need 4 wheels drive ( I am changing mime soon ).

Expect to click 20K and spent about 4-5K $.

Yeah... but left hand drive, gotta get used to it... haha! better to buy a car in the States, then sell it off when you are done with it. Much cheaper and convenient way to travel around... that said, i admire your spirit man, bring your whole family up with you... gonna be so fun! :P cool way to spend quality time with them...

The futher I went with my car is Penang, next is Cameron, Genting, Bukit tinggi, KL, Malacca, Port dickson, Kota tinggi, and of course JB.

Planning to go to Cameron Highland this DEC. Like the weather and the slow pace of life there. Later will go to Bukit tinggi than back to singapore.

Really enjoy the drive to those places. :D

Jungle bashing? 4WD? Serious?

You like driving? I like 4WD too! I did Sahara Morocco in a Land Cruiser.

Driven 18 days in north and south island of New Zealand.

Driven and circumvent the island of Tasmania.

Driven Melbourne to Adelaide in Australia.

Malaysia many times.

Recently in April, did a grand tour in Canada - Toronto (Niagara Falls), Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa then back to Toronto in the eastern part of Canada.

Then flew to the west, from Vancouver and did a grand tour of the Rockies, then to Calgary, Edmonton, back to Vancouver and cross over to Vancouver Island. Then drove down to Seattle in the USA. But I have another co-driver to take turn. Otherwise may sleep and fall off the Rockies.:D

Sorry, not meant to boast, but I can understand the passion of those who love to drive. :P

I would encourage those who are thinking of holidays .... drive .... rent a car ..... and go free and easssssyyyyyy. ;):P

absolutely, safety first.

another tip for those long distance drivers ..... don't sleep behind the wheels.

if at any time you feel like dozing off, find a good stopping place and take a

quick nap.

Planning to go to Cameron Highland this DEC. Like the weather and the slow pace of life there.

New highway ready, direct to Cameron, roads very wide and straight, better than road to Genting I heard. Trip took lest than half the normal time from the bottom of the hill, exit 15 minutes after Tapah.

Go to Northwestern Wales it very beautiful. Pass Snowdonia and further on to the west there is a pennisula called 'The Llyn'. Very nice scenery there. Anglesey isn't too bad too.
